Case Study: One Miami

Automated Valet recently installed its AVPM valet system at One Miami, a residential condominium with valet and self parking operated by US Parking of Miami. At a residential parking garage, speed and service are highly personal. The same residents retrieve and release their cars several times throughout the day and the same guests arrive and depart regularly. Valet service in this setting must be fast, secure and customized to meet the needs of the facility.

Valet Requirements

The site is equipped with several AVPM features that make the entry and exit process go quickly. Bluetooth scanners recognize VIN numbers to identify residents’ cars. The scanning process of vehicles by IP Cameras to record preexisting damages takes a couple seconds and valet customers are served quickly and accurately. The site also offers self park services, usually negotiated on a monthly basis. Self park customers receive a garage entry pass conveniently created by the AVPM system and use the same garage entry as valet parked vehicles.

The complexities of the site are addressed with inventive technology and a commitment to good service.  Valet and Self Park Customers use the same access control units and AVPM® is able to decipher all customers and rate types. What is most notable is that US Parking has created a valet operation where good service does not compromise revenue control and revenue control does not compromise good service.
